高文运博士，1992年7月在兰州大学化学系获硕士学位，1998年7月在中国科学院上海药物研究所获博士学位，其后在中国科学院上海有机化学研究所从事博士后研究；2000年9月赴德国马丁-路德大学生物中心从事萜类化合物的生物合成研究，2001年获洪堡基金支持继续从事相关研究，其间发现并建立了萜类化合物DXP/MEP生物合成途径中的一个重要中间体，所做的工作主要发表在 Angewandte Chemie Int. Ed. 及 Plant Physiology 等专业期刊上；2003年底转入美国犹他大学化学系从事萜类化合物生物合成过程中链增长反应机理的研究，取得重要阶段性研究成果；2006年7月回国，现任西北大学生命科学学院教授。目前已在SCI收录期刊上发表近二十篇论文，承担国家自然科学基金一项。

科研兴趣：
　　1、萜类化合物生物合成研究；
　　2、中草药有效成分的提取分离、结构鉴定及活性研究；
　　3、活性天然化合物的合成研究。
